QBE Mercantile Mutual launches their latest e-business initiative
QBE Mercantile Mutual has launched the latest in their e-business initiatives at the NIBA 2003 convention on the Gold Coast this week.
The latest e-business initiatives include the new customised c.change
- which offers an enhanced claim and transaction management system - and
complete retail and Wholesale Client solutions.
Mr Terry Ibbotson, QBE Mercantile Mutual's Executive General Manager, says "Our latest e-business strategy has been developed to enable our intermediaries to streamline their insurance business and ultimately to ensure our working relationship continues to be of value to them and us in the new environment".
Retail and Wholesale Client Solutions
The product solutions involve transferring the Home, Private Motor and Business Package products onto the new Sunrise Web Enabled environment to offer intermediaries a range of new benefits, including real time processing, an on-line referral system, and automatically recognised cluster affiliations including tailored policy wordings.
Key features of the Web Enabled product solutions include:
EFT/Instalment Billing - a payment method integrated to the intermediary's IT software package*, removing duplication of the credit control function between QBE Mercantile Mutual and the intermediary.
c.change/claims** - a solution that helps streamline the intermediaries claims function making their claims follow-up easier.
FSR Compliance
QBE Mercantile Mutual has developed and tailored their FSR Retail product
solution to help intermediaries meet their Australian Financial Services
Licence (AFSL) compliance requirements that relate to retail clients -
through their chosen advice model.
The customised FSR Enriched Home and Private Motor products include:
- On-line quoting and processing
- Statement of Advice generation tool
- Financial Services Guide Templates.
Customised c.change
The new c.change has been customised to allow intermediaries to do business their way through its new functionalities which include:
- An activity alert on watched transactions,
- A year to date results functionality,
- The ability to view new claims from multiple sources,
- A function that informs you of the business that has been processed for the month and
- A functionality that keeps you aware of policies that are due for renewal.
Mr Ibbotson states, "The customisation of c.change, and the introduction of the new web-enabled products offers a significant advantage to our intermediaries, and reflects QBE Mercantile Mutuals vision to offer innovative solutions to our partners".
