  • Listening - to help us understand what our customers and colleagues want
  • Delivery - we always deliver our promises to customers
  • Creativity - we actively seek and promote new ideas and find better ways of doing things
  • Integrity - we are honest, truthful and transparent in all our dealings
  • Investment in People - we strive to develop our people by providing support, learning opportunities and an environment that fosters teamwork, learning, equality and flexibility
  • Future Thinking - we allocate resources to achieve both short term business profitability and investment for the future
  • Maintaining Control - we are proactive in influencing and directing our processes to achieve the best outcomes.

The primary objective for workers' compensation is to return employees to work as quickly and safely as possible after a workplace injury. QBE also recognises that reducing the amount of time, effort and financial impact associated with managing workers' compensation is a priority for your organisation.

Our Future
One of our key initiatives has been implementing a new case management model to our service delivery methods. Historically, there has been a growing mismatch between stakeholders' expectations of workers' compensation insurers and the insurers' capabilities. Insurers in general have provided a low level of return to work and injury prevention services.

QBE Workers' Compensation has responded to these market demands by redefining our product as an "allied health product" rather than as a traditional insurance risk product. This case management model has an holistic and integrated philosophy of managing claims and injuries, including principles of risk and injury prevention. Our collaborative approach ensures that, not only is returning the injured worker to the best possible health and employability is the central focus for all stakeholders, but also that better outcomes are achieved for employers and for QBE.

Our Capabilities
QBE also partners with industry experts to provide our clients with new methods and ideas. The QBE-ABRM Program, in partnership with Deloittes Touche Tohmatsu, was one such endeavour. This program is at the 'cutting edge' of risk management and provides cost-effective solutions to your organisation's claims, injury and OH&S management issues.

National Support
QBE manages workers' compensation in every state or territory where it is permitted by legislation. This ensures that we maintain a high-level of knowledge and expertise across different jurisdictions. Additionally, we have a dedicated National Accounts Unit that gives you a "one-stop-shop" if your organisation has offices in more than 1 state or territory. This is an important factor in maintaining consistency and efficiency in managing your organisation's workers' compensation.

Our Promise
QBE Workers' Compensation is committed to building solid and lasting partnerships with our customers. We welcome your enquiries regarding our products and look forward to working with you to ensure your success in managing workers' compensation in your organisation.
