2022 reflections with Sue Houghton and Elliot Hill

Hi, everyone. As the year draws to a close, we'd like to reflect upon a thank you for another huge year.

We've seen our teams rise to the challenges and witness the strength and power of our partnerships in full force.

The value we bring to our customers and our work to protect them and enable them has only been proven more important.

With that in mind, I'll hand over to Elliot Hill to call out some of our 2022 highlights and look ahead to what's next.

Thanks Sue. Together, we've been there for our customers, celebrated some key milestones and proudly continued to deliver some important programs to you and your customers.

We've received more than 70,000 customer claims, which has included supporting thousands through the devastating floods in March and the other catastrophic events of this year. We remain focused on finalising catastrophe claims and getting customers back on their feet as quickly as possible.

In October, we were proud to announce our renewed global Disaster Relief and Resilience Partnership with Red Cross and Save the Children. We’ve committed $3 million in funding over the next three years.

Supporting you with development opportunities and industry insight remained a key focus in 2022.

We were proud to deliver another successful chapter of Equip, and excitingly, this marked the program's 15th anniversary. Almost 1000 brokers have now completed this development program.

We continued to deliver risk insights to you and your customers, including through our Q Academy program, which hosted 28 sessions with more than 5000 attendees.

We also enjoyed getting out and connecting with you in person again and we're proud to get behind awards like the NIBA Broker Of The Year, ANZIIF, and Insurance Business Awards.

Importantly, our Premiums4Good program has also continued to deliver significant social and environmental impact.

We celebrated its relaunch, making a commitment to direct 5% of all customer base GWP and offering select customers the opportunity to contribute 100% of their base GWP to this powerful program.

Last but not least, I like to call out our work together in the SME space.

Many of you will have seen our brand campaign aimed at growing market awareness and highlighting the value of brokers when it comes to understanding SME. Thanks to this campaign and your support, we've seen strong GWP growth this year and continue to work with you to focus on this important segment.

Thanks, Elliot. As we look to the year ahead, we're focused on improving service levels, system stability and underwriting consistency, and we're continuing our investment in platforms to enhance experience.

We'll also be continuing to invest in risk solutions, insights and innovations to help you and your customers prepare for and recover from potential disasters.
