Information for our customers affected by the December 20, 2018 NSW Hail Storm

With last night’s storms sweeping through Sydney and parts of NSW causing significant damage, we’re working hard to support our customers as quickly as possible.

We’ve initiated our Catastrophe Management Plan and have additional team members ready to take your calls and lodge claims. We’re already mobilising our assessors and tradespeople to ensure we can support you as quickly as possible should you have sustained any damage, with a priority on make-safe repairs to keep you safe and mobile over the Christmas and New Year period.


It’s important that you follow advice of the local authorities to ensure the safety of yourselves and your families.


We’d also like to refer you to some useful content surrounding how to safely return to your home after a storm.

  • Never try to drive through flood-affected areas

How to claim

If you’re insured directly with QBE, call us on 133 QBE (133 723) and press 2 for Claims.

If you bought your policy from an intermediary or your financial institution, contact them to make your claim.

It’s ok if you don’t know your policy details when you contact us; with your name and address we’ll find it for you.
