QBE recognized as a top 100 adoption-friendly workplace
New York, NY – QBE was recognized as a Top 100 (#2 for Insurance) Adoption-Friendly Workplace for the second year running. This honor was given by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, America's only nonprofit public charity dedicated to finding homes for children in foster care.
QBE offers its employees six weeks paid leave and up to $10,000 financial reimbursement. Additionally, all working parents receive guidance on preparing for parental leave and returning to work, back-up child care options for when regular care is unavailable, as well child care discounts, special needs assistance and educational advising.

Since 2007, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption has compiled an annual list of the top adoption-friendly workplaces. Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces are determined by an analysis of financial assistance and paid leave for families who adopt, based on surveys completed by employers.
More than 100,000 children in the U.S. foster care system are waiting to be adopted. Every year, more than 23,000 children in foster care age out of the system without families.
