We are writing to inform you that QBE has become aware that a QBE employee in our Hong Kong office has displayed symptoms and tested positive for COVID-19.
The employee last attended work on the 33rd floor Oxford House, Taiko Place on Friday 20th March. As a precautionary measure, we have commenced a deep clean of all three floors of our office, in addition to extra cleaning and disinfecting measures for all common areas in our building. The Building Management has been advised and we are acting in accordance with the advice from the Hong Kong Health Authority.
We are working closely to support the impacted employee. We have also initiated contact tracking and have reached out to employees who were in close contact with our colleague, asking them to seek medical advice in addition to working from home for the next 14 days.
Our office will be closed on Monday 30th March, and reopen on Tuesday 31st March for critical functions only. We do not recommend any external parties to visit our office during this period of time. You may experience some business interruptions today, but we should be able to resume our service with minimum impact from Tuesday onwards.
The health, safety and wellbeing of our people and our customers is our first priority. We want to reassure you that while working remotely, we are committed to maintaining our client service levels at all times. We have enacted our business continuity plan to ensure we minimise disruption to our services and your QBE contacts remain accessible via email and phone.
