Single Trip / Annual Travel Insurance Policies

As travel out of Wuhan and its nearby cities has been banned and widely reported by the media, the impact of the novel coronavirus in these areas has been considered a known circumstance, and any claims under the following Single Trip or Annual Travel Insurance policies due to novel coronavirus directly incurred from the above impacted areas will not be covered. The coverage under other benefits remains in force.*

  • Single Trip Travel Insurance policies with successful application at or after 10:00am, 23 January 2020
  • Annual Travel Insurance policies with successful application or travel arrangement is made – whichever is the later – at or after 10:00am, 23 January 2020

Change of Itinerary Arrangement

In response to novel coronavirus in Wuhan , we will accept change of itinerary within three months from your policy commencing date for Single Trip Travel Insurance policies.

If you decide to reschedule your trip, please send your policy number, contact information, revised itinerary and proof for the cancellation of flight/trip via email at hksi.cs@qbe.com.

If the number of travel days and travel destination are the same, we shall waive the service fees as a one-off arrangement. Please note that this arrangement applies to Single Trip Travel Insurance policy only.

Claims Procedure

If you would like to submit a travel claim for the delay and/or rerouting, please submit online at QBE Claims via https://claims.qbe.com/claims/.

Required documents:

  1. Airline / Railway confirmation proving the flight / train is delayed / cancelled
  2. Original and revised itineraries
  3. Boarding pass
  4. Invoice and booking details of the hotel
  5. Invoice of other items you would like to claim under the policy
