Do

  • Make sure you are safe & report to the police immediately.
  • It is also advisable to record the below:
      1. Particulars and nature of any bodily injury involved (if any)
      2. Vehicle registration numbers for all vehicles involved in the incident (if any)
      3. Contact details of all other parties involved (if any)
      4. Take photos of the damaged parts, collision point and road condition
  • If the other party is at fault, you will have to lodge a complaint to the police within 10 days.

Don't

  • Do not make/receive any admission, offer, promise, payment, or indemnity with any party without the prior consent of QBE Hong Kong.
  • Do not dispute liability with the third party.
  • Do not move the vehicle unless the vehicle is at the unsafe place.

    Damage of Windscreen

    1. Photos of the damaged glasses before repair is conducted
    2. Photos of the repaired/replaced glasses after repair is conducted
    3. Motor Vehicle Licence
    4. Invoice / Receipt

    Motor Accident/Damage

    1. Letter of Authorization duly signed by the driver
    2. Driver’s Hong Kong Identity Card
    3. Driver's driving licence
    4. Vehicle Registration Document (Both sides)
    5. Motor Vehicle Licence
    6. Police statement
    7. Screening breath test result form, if any
    8. Photos showing the accident scene and involved vehicles, if available
    9. Car camera record, if any
    10. Repair quotation, if available
    11. Any third party correspondences

    Theft/Attempted Theft

    1. Letter of Authorization duly signed by the person who reported to the police
    2. Vehicle Registration Document (Both sides)
    3. Motor Vehicle Licence
    4. Police statement
