In January, which marks the Lunar New Year, many Hong Kong residents travel abroad. To assist Manulife agents in acquiring more new business during this peak season, QBE has enhanced both single-trip and annual travel insurance to provide greater coverage. Particularly, the annual travel insurance now includes cruise voyage protection, ensuring comprehensive coverage for travelers. Starting from January 1, 2025, by purchasing single-trip or annual travel insurance, the following additional coverage can be enjoyed ( Exclusive protection for Manulife ):

To enhance the claims process for domestic helpers while maintaining our service quality, the outpatient benefits under the domestic helper insurance policy will be changed from the UMP panel n to allowing you to select outpatient services of your choice effective from 1 March 2025,All claims for domestic helper insurance will be processed through QBE’s eClaims platform. (NO UMP medical card will be issued).

Domestic Helper Insurance (Effective from 1 March 2025)

Clinical Expense: Your domestic helper can receive outpatient treatment at designated panel doctors (25 visits per policy year): Fully cover general physician consultation and three days basic medication Specialist consultation and three days basic medication, with HK$200 deductible (Subject to referral by panel general physician) Physiotherapy treatment, with HK$120 deductible (Subject to referral by panel general physician) Traditional Chinese medicine practitioner consultation, with HK$30 deductible Bone-setting and acupuncture consultation, with HK$80 deductible *Cover Emergency Out-patient Expense for your domestic helper in case of emergency treatment in Hong Kong Government hospital up to HK$150 per visit and up to two visits per year.

Clinical Expense: Your domestic helper can choose outpatient treatment on his / her own clinic. (Maximum up to HK$4,000 and 25 visits per policy year): General physician consultation with no deductible Specialist consultation with HKD200 deductible Physiotherapy treatment, includes an acupuncture with HKD 120 deductible Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner treatment, includes an acupuncture consultation with HKD 30 deductible Bone-setting and/or acupuncture consultation, with HKD 80 deductible *Coverage for Emergency Outpatient Visits at HK Government Hospital has been removed. This change provides you with greater freedom in managing your healthcare needs.

Insuring Process:

1. Issue quote in Qnect :
   • Issue Quote via Qnect, and upload the “renewal notice” from other insurers in Qnect and remark “EC Price Match” in the Qnect referral to underwriters.
2. Issue quote in non Qnect:
   • Remark “EC Price Match” in the Qnect referral to underwriters.
   • Attach the “renewal notice” and send to [email protected].
   • For gross premium over HK$30,000, please copy your RM in the email.
