We have received claims reported for Typhoon Saola and Black Rainstorm. Majority of claims are funnelled through eClaims submissions and the remaining are notified via email, 33% of claims are processed and closed. While majority of claims are Travel related, Fire, Motor, General Liability , Householder and Engineering.

Typhoon Koinu has been widely reported by the media. According to the Hong Kong Observatory, it is forecasted that Typhoon Koinu will gradually approach Hong Kong and is predicted to enter the 800-kilometer zone to the east of Hong Kong by Wednesday evening (October 4th). The subsequent path and intensity of Koinu are subject to variables, and we will adjust whether to classify Typhoon Koinu as a known event based on the latest information from the observatory. If your client is planning to travel recently, please communicate with them and encourage them to purchase insurance as early as possible. Otherwise, if the observatory issues a Typhoon Signal No. 8 warning, the typhoon will be classified as a known event. Claims related to travel insurance for this typhoon, purchased after a specified time, whether it's single-trip or annual travel insurance, will not be covered. |
