 Air Canada

Earlier, Air Canada was facing a deadlock in salary negotiations and was afraid of a strike and grounding on September 15. How can I buy travel insurance to protect the losses caused by the strike and grounding?

In order to ensure protection against trip cancellations due to strikes and grounding, you should pay attention to the following two points when purchasing travel insurance:

1. Policy Issue date: Insurance must be purchased before the strike is announced
2. Policy inception date: The inception date should be when an unexpected strike occurs at the destination within one week before departure.

These considerations can help ensure you're covered if your travel plans are affected by a strike or grounding.

When working at home, domestic helpers may be required to  work at heights, such as cleaning windows. The following are suggestions for ensuring the occupational safety of domestic workers to ensure the safety of domestic workers:

1. "Reach out but not stretch out" principle: Do not let any part of the domestic helper's body except the arms stick out of the window to ensure safety.
2. Keep the window grilles intact: If a domestic helper needs to clean a window with grilles, make sure the grilles are installed and locked to prevent them from opening suddenly.
3. Use safety tools: When cleaning hard-to-reach places, try to use tools to assist, such as telescopic sticks and towels.
4. Stand safely: Domestic helpers should stick to standing on the floor indoors when cleaning windows, and never stand on chairs, tables or windowsills.
5. Consider mechanical assistance: Consider using modern tools such as automated exterior window cleaning robots to help with overhead cleaning tasks.
