We are pleased to announce an important update to our Qnect SME solution, specifically under the Property All Risks Cover section. These enhancements are designed to better serve our clients.
What's New?
Staring from 15 September, the Property All Risks Cover Section will include Free Money Extension and Free Fidelity Guarantee Extension with the updated coverage and limits to suit different customers' needs.

1. Coverage for crossed cheque and money
2. Coverage include loss oof damage to locked cash register, safe or strongroom.

Fidelity Guarantee Extension - Key Highlight:
• Coverage for act of employee dishonesty up to limit of HKD30,000 (10% of Property All Risks Sum Insured).
In addition, QBE Hong Kong provides a new Allied Healthcare Professionals, which is tailor-made for allied medical personnel and can protect the insured against legal liabilities and claims caused by professional negligence during the course of work.
To celebrate the launch of QBE Hong Kong's new Allied Healthcare Professionals. We are pleased to announce that the commission for agents will be increased from 10% to 15% from now until December 31, 2024. Agents can now submit paper proposal form on behalf of customers, helping medical professionals obtain the protection they need, allowing them to focus more on providing high-quality medical services without having to worry too much about the potential risks and liabilities they may face.
In Allied Healthcare Professionals, allied medical personnel are divided into 4 groups. The following are the distribution levels of medical personnel:

Insurance Authority will charge fees for processing insurance intermediary license applications and related notifications from 23 September 2024 onwards. Advisors must pay relevant fees if they submit an application for license renewal or amendments. Starting from September 1, 2024 (effective from issue date), travel insurance will be updated according to the following schedule:

According to the latest edition of QBE Hong Kong’s SME Survey, the proportion of local small- and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) that experienced cyber events has significantly increased annually, from 24% in 2023 to 30% in 2024.
616 SMEs were surveyed between December 2023 and January 2024*, whereby business leaders of Hong Kong-based SMEs shared their views on operational risks that most affect SMEs, covering the areas of cybersecurity, AI, and workplace safety and health (WSH).
