2. Claims submit online via Qnect
Ease to submit claims for customers via Qnect, with a comprehensive view of all online claim submissions and status under your portfolio.

  1. Login to Qnect (http://partner.qbe.com/hk)
  2. Search the policy for claim submission
  3. Under the Policy Options icon, click “New Claim”
  4. Fill in the eClaims form and submit

Since the launch of eClaims Service in August 2020, the pleasing adoption rate of online claims lodgement has well reflected your needs. To continuously offer quality service to you and your customers and fulfil our commitment to protect the environment, effective from January 2021, QBE Hong Kong will only accept online claim submissions, and cease accepting any submission of paper claims forms via mails, emails or faxes. Please submit claims online at eClaims Platform (https://www.qbe.com/hk/en/eclaims) and advise your customers the same.

All QBE’s panel repairers are quality assured and well recognised by Electrical and Mechanical Services Department. They will help manage both repair and claims application concurrently where customers can also enjoy exclusive benefits including: no upfront payment required, 12 months warranty on repairs authorised by QBE, free Ozone car treatment in response to COVID-19 and car inspection (at half price) with certification.

New Appointments

HelenStarting 2021, the Underwriting organization structure will be aligned into two teams: (1) Retail and SME Commercial and (2) Corporate and Specialty. Underwriters are grouped according to specific business segment and all underwriters are empowered with appropriate levels of underwriting authority to trade and negotiate directly with intermediaries. 

Amid this enhanced structure, QBE Hong Kong welcomes Helen Ye, Head of Retail and SME Commercial Underwriting, who will be responsible for both top-line and bottom-line performance of her segments. She will manage the underwriting commodity team and underwriting relationships for Agency and some other channels. 

Helen has 20 years of professional experience in global insurance organisations and held multiple senior positions leading the overall underwriting strategy to drive profitable growth. Helen is well positioned to lead our strategic growth in the retail and SME segments and will provide valuable insights and quality services to our business partners and customers. 

 

AlexChanDuring 2020, Wendy Lee took on additional roles as the Head for Agency and Intermediary Responsible person. Under her extraordinary leadership, QBE was able to revamp agency agreements as well as accomplished those intermediary governance issues under Agency channel. 

While Wendy Lee will focus on Bancassurance onwards, Alex Chan, Head of Agency, Hong Kong will now act as the lead of Agency channel and take over the responsibility of Wendy Lee as the QBE local Intermediary Responsible Person* effective immediately. With focused underwriting and sales leadership, we look forward to rejuvenating this segment of our business in 2021.

Qnect Updates

Starting from 31 January 2021, Qnect will enable the End-to-End digital services for all products* to support you in performing faster quotations, endorsements, renewals, and policy cancellation. You can also manage claims and payments collection with ease. All your submitted quotes and requests can be monitored on the Quotation Dashboard. With this, you can consolidate and manage all quotations and requests for all types of polices and products* at a single location on Qnect.

Qnect’s Pay Fast features have been upgraded. In addition to the display of outstanding premiums for the selected policy, a data validation was built to remind you what are the minimum and maximum amounts that your customer can pay for the selected policy. 

You can now simply issue a payment link to your customers to collect premium of any issued polices. It does not only simplify and speed up your payment collection process by eliminating the use of paper form and mailing a cheque but also offer your customers additional security when processing online payment with an instant confirmation message prompt.
