We are happy to announce the Qclub app new function experience. Starting from 1 April, all e-voucher can be redeemed and used through your Qclub app. Redeemed e-voucher will no longer be sent to your e-mailbox, you can easily check the status of your redeemed e-voucher (used or not yet used) and use it through Qclub app.

The Domestic Helper Medical Examination updated pricing of HK$720 (identifier: QBE Domestic Helper Medicard) will be effective from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021.

The reminder of renewal notices for each month will be sent to you by email after the whole batch of renewal notice of each month has been sent out. You can also view the renewal notices on Qnect under the “Portfolio & Reports” function.
Also, you will receive a cheque acknowledgment notification email after we have received your cheque. You will also receive an official receipt upon payment transfers. Background:
Client has bought an annual travel policy with QBE since end of 2019. In December, the Client has purchased a flight ticket to Korea for a trip on 19 March 2020.
The Hong Kong government has issued Red Outbound Travel Alert for avoiding non-essential travel to Korea from Feb 24, 2020. And there was a cut-off date applied to travelling Worldwide on Jan 31, 2020 as a known circumstance, exclusions shall be applied on Trip Cancellation and Trip Curtailment.
WHO have now declared COVID-19 as ‘pandemic’ on 12 March 2020
QBE Solution:
The travel application was before the cut off date, and original date of departure is after 12 March 2020. Given that WHO have declared COVID-19 as ‘pandemic’ on 12 March 2020, QBE has provided 100% of the claim compensation despite the Red Alert announced by Hong Kong Government will only provide 50% of the claim compensation.
