QBE launched an one-time project on 30 October 2020, to write off the unsettled outstanding premium for policy effected from 1 Aug 2016 to 31 Dec 2019. Key feedbacks from Manulife representatives including major / top producing districts have been collected in September and October so as to shape the mechanism in this project. Please read “Outstanding Premium Project” in Qtouch or your email for more details.

 

Starting from November 2020, the Agent Statement of Account will no longer be sent by email, you may download the Statement of Account on Qnect.

The video of “How to check my Statement of Account Video” is now available on Qtouch (https://www.qbe.com/hk/en/qtouch/training) for details. Follow through the video to check your unsettled/outstanding transactions, settled transactions and commission transactions.

You QClub points will expire soon on 31 December, 2020, remember to check your points and redeem your rewards through the QClub App before the expiration date.qclub-point-expiry-notice

 

For Sliver/ Black members, you can now register and receive additional year-end bonus on the QClub App as soon as possible according to the chart below and user guide (extra 800 points will be used as redemption fee for year-end bonus).

 

* Please note that points earned in December 2020 will expire on 31 January 2021.

* Please register for the year-end bonus on before 31 December 2020, otherwise the bonus will not be issued.

In order to save your time to collect at service counters and easily to find the information you need, we would like to inform you that starting from 19 October 2020, you can download all product brochures on Qnect and Qtouch anytime, anywhere. Simply save an e-copy on your device and forward to your clients whenever needed.

In order to prevent any delay and deliver your documents to QBE timely, starting from October 2020, we have provided Postage Prepaid Envelope on each agency floors and QBE services counters, and you can mail to QBE directly.

Start from 8 November 2020, e-24-hour Worldwide Emergency Assistance Card will replace the physical card for all Personal Accident policies and will be attached in all policy email.

qbe-insight-sme-crisisQBE Asia’s Lei Yu, CEO North Asia and Regional Head of Distribution, recently spoke with Insurance Asia News that 2020 has been a tough year for all businesses around the world, even more so for SMEs in Hong Kong. The market outlook for Hong Kong in 2020 was already tough, given the economic slowdown and social unrest experienced in 2019, only to see the outbreak of COVID-19, uncertainties over the U.S.-China trade tensions and ongoing financial market turmoil make things even more complicated.

Given that environment, what we have seen is SMEs are really targeting cost containment and focusing their insurance spending on protection that is absolutely necessary and most relevant. SMEs that have better risk management and protection stand to benefit more from less claims and better premiums savings. The outlook for 2021 will really depend on how soon and how fast the local economy will recover from Covid-19, and how long it will take before visitorship is back to a more normal level. If demand can slowly improve, SMEs will have a good chance and confidence to survive, which may help their investments in many areas, including spending on insurance and risk protection for 2021.
