What will happen if I submit my homeowner claims via eClaims? 

You will receive a claim confirmation email with a claim reference number assigned to your case. If your claim relates to damage to home content and choose our panel contractor for repair, the adjuster will contact you within 4 working hours after your claim submission. The adjuster will arrange an onsite visit to inspect the extent of damage and evaluate repair costs. 

Upon completion of the survey, QBE Hong Kong claims team will assess the claim and advise the assessment result shortly. You only need to pay whatever is not covered under the policy instead of paying the whole bill and pending for the reimbursement from the insurance company according to the coverage of the policy.

If no other issues, our panel contractor will proceed with the repair work after your confirmation.

Once the repair work is completed, you will be asked to sign a satisfactory form and pay the excess or uncovered items under the policy (if any).



Does QBE Hong Kong provide 24/7 service? What should I do if the incident happens out of office hours?

What is the scope of services that QBE Hong Kong’s panel contractor can provide?

What will happen if I need to urgently repair something (e.g. pipe burst)? Can I fix it before the contractor/adjuster come to the scene?

For urgent repair such as a burst pipe, you should fix it immediately at your costs to mitigate the loss. Please retain the burst pipe and affected property for our further assessment. You can also contact our emergency assistance.

How long will the contractor complete repair work?

It depends on the extent of damage and complexity of repair work. Our panel contractor will advise in the onsite visit.  


What should I do if I have other property claims involved in the same incident which is out of the repair work’s scope?

You can report all affected property claims via eClaims. We will handle those cases at the same time.


When will I get contacted after claim submission?

You will receive an email confirmation with a claim reference number when you have submitted your claim via eClaims.

How can I check the status of my claim?

You can go to eClaims website to check your claim status with the claim reference number.
