Following global events affecting the insurance industry, and to be consistent with industry practice, we are making changes to the terms and conditions of our policy wordings for Property, Engineering and Accident and Health.
QBE Hong Kong is now including endorsements with new and renewal business to clarify that our SME, property and engineering policies do not cover Cyber incidents and Communicable Diseases, and our Accident and Health policies do not cover Communicable Diseases incidents.

We wish to point out that it has never been the intention to have these types of incidents covered under our policies. Recent events prompted insurance companies now to include explicit exclusions to bring greater clarity to the coverage with relation to communicable diseases and cyber risks.
The inclusion of Cyber and Communicable Diseases exclusion clauses will be effective for New Business Quotations from 1 April 2021, and for renewals, from 1 June 2021 for SME. For other products, the effective dates are to be confirmed based on system update

Emails should be sent to different email boxes based on the below categorizion of the inquiry types
Kindly note that sending emails to the wrong email box will delay QBE’s processing and may cause longer time to respond.

Please note:
- Any email sent to the QBE Underwriting email ([email protected]) MUST follow this subject line guideline to ensure prompt triage and process. ONLY emails following the guidelines will be counted towards our service time. Any email not specifying the inquiry type will be treated as general inquiry and therefore service time is not guaranteed.
- Once you have sent an email enquiry to the underwriting e-mailbox, you will receive an automatic reply with a reference ID (G*-HK*******). When you follow up or send additional information for the same case via email, please include the reference ID in your email subject in order to avoid system creating a new reference ID for the same case, which will delay the underwriting process.

Starting from 2021, you can lodge your motor and home repair claims online anytime anywhere.You and your customers can submit all your claims online and receive payment via bank transfer, eliminating the clutter of manual handling including postage and cheque bank-in. In a few easy steps, your claims submission can be done within minutes via this link, no login is required.

Therefore, effective from 1 January 2021, QBE Hong Kong will only accept online claim submissions, and cease accepting any submission of paper claims forms via mails, emails or faxes. Please submit or advise your customers to submit claim online at QBE eClaims https://www.qbe.com/hk/en/eclaims by choosing the corresponding QBE product. New enhancement on Negotiated Quote function is now available on Qnect. Your first submission of quotation request can be now saved in the correspondence section of the record for your future easy reference. You can now submit the negotiated quote to us through Qnect instead of email and manage all your submitted quotes at one single point.

Pay Fast
You can send a one-time payment link to the customer for collecting the premium of the in-force policy. It is fast to complete the payment process without filling in the payment options form. Without a third party involved in processing the credit card information, customers can feel secured when paying online. Starting from 1 January 2021, please download the Payment Options Form from Qnect, if required.
