QBE launches ‘Rebuild Resilient’ – a new and innovative optional property insurance extension designed for a changing climate

At the heart of building back better

QBE New Zealand is proud to announce the launch of Rebuild Resilient, an innovative optional property extension designed to help customers recover stronger after certain weather-related events.

As climate-related events become more frequent and severe, many Kiwi businesses are experiencing repeated damage from similar incidents. Rebuild Resilient offers a smarter solution: additional cover that enables customers to rebuild with resilience in mind.

“We know that more and more customers are looking to proactively mitigate the impact of weather-related events on their businesses and properties,” said Jonathan Groves, CEO & Managing Director, QBE New Zealand & Pacific.

“At QBE New Zealand, our purpose is to enable a more resilient future. That means giving our customers more choice in how they recover by supporting smarter, more resilient solutions and empowering customers to rebuild in ways that reduce the likelihood of the same damage happening again. This might mean lifting foundations, improving drainage, raising electrics and designing for durability. Designed with the challenges of a changing environment in mind, Rebuild Resilient empowers customers to rebuild stronger, smarter, and with resilience at the core. It’s about helping to reduce future risk, not just recover from it.”
