Changes to QBE Executive team

QBE announces that after a successful 25-year career, Sam Harrison will be leaving to join The Canopius Group in London.

Sam held a number of senior roles at QBE prior to being appointed Group Chief Underwriting Officer in April 2021, including Managing Director, Insurance, for QBE’s International division and prior to this as Managing Director of International Markets. Sam has made a significant contribution to QBE and to many of our valued partners and customers.

From his early days as an offshore energy underwriter, he came to shape much of QBE’s current approach to underwriting with a strong focus on performance.

We thank Sam for his hard work and dedication to QBE over 25 years and wish him well in his new role.

Sam will remain with QBE for the next few months and we will be commencing an internal and external search to replace his role.
