QBE Capital Board update

QBE Insurance Group Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Allison Kiene as Non-Executive Director of QBE Capital effective 1 May 2026, subject to regulatory approval.  

Allison serves as successor to Amanda Sodergren, who recently retired, after providing almost 12 years of exceptional service as a Non-Executive Director, including as Chair of the Audit Committee.   

Allison is an experienced legal and compliance leader in the global insurance and reinsurance sector, most recently serving as General Counsel and Company Secretary at Argo Group International Holdings, where she was a member of the executive leadership team and worked closely with the Board and its Committees on strategic transformation.  

She brings extensive experience supporting public and private company boards, with deep involvement across Governance, Audit, Compensation and Risk Committees, and a strong track record in corporate governance, shareholder engagement, executive compensation and compliance.  

Allison previously held senior roles at Sompo International and across leading insurance organisations, including Montpelier Re Holdings, Endurance Specialty Holdings and Blue Capital Management.  

In addition to her executive career, she has board experience and currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for Team Telomere and is a certified director through the National Association of Corporate Directors.
