QBE joins Net Zero Insurance Alliance

QBE has today announced it will join the UN-convened Net Zero Insurance Alliance.

As part of the UN-convened Net Zero Insurance Alliance, QBE will work with others in the insurance industry to help define the methodology needed to assess the carbon intensity of underwriting portfolios and set science-based intermediate targets.

QBE has committed the gradual transition of its underwriting portfolio to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, as it continues to support its customers’ transition to a net zero economy.

In 2020, QBE joined the UN-convened Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance and as part of this group we are also transitioning our investment portfolio to net zero by 2050.
