QBE named Large General Insurance Company of the Year by ANZIIF

QBE Australia has been recognised as the Large General Insurance Company of the Year at the 2025 Australian Insurance Industry Awards, hosted by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).

The award for Large General Insurance Company of the Year recognises companies that have demonstrated strong performance and outstanding service for their customers in Australia.  

Lorelle Hillman, General Manager, Distribution, accepted the award on QBE’s behalf, and said she was extremely proud to have received the accolade.   

“To receive this award is a wonderful affirmation for our teams, whose dedication and care have helped us strengthen the experience we offer to our customers and partners.” she said.   

"I also extend my gratitude to our broker partners, financial institutions, and trading partners; without their ongoing commitment to working together, we would not have been able to achieve our great customer outcomes."

In its submission for Large General Insurer of the Year, QBE was required to provide details across a broad range of criteria – including customer satisfaction and retention, innovation and future planning, people development and retention, ethical standards, support for vulnerable customers, and contributions to the community and industry.

The submission also detailed key achievements such as the launch of the QBE Foundation’s Humanitarian Track within the QBE AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge, an initiative that supports entrepreneurs developing technology solutions that help communities adapt to the humanitarian impacts of climate change.
