QBE has successfully concluded its 18th annual Equip program, held from 6 to 8 August in Sydney, bringing together 50 emerging brokers from across Australia for an immersive learning and development experience designed to elevate the future of the insurance industry.

Hosted across three venues – including QBE’s Sydney office, the Hilton Hotel, and the Sydney Swans Headquarters – the Equip2025 program delivered a dynamic mix of leadership coaching, strategic insights, and networking opportunities. The event was led by a team of ten dedicated QBE coaches and supported by expert facilitators and senior leaders.

Participants engaged in sessions covering broker journey map research, strategic planning, and market insights. The event also included masterclasses on Reinsurance and QBE Ventures as well as a keynote from Sydney Swans COO Drew Arthurson.

Lorelle Hillman, General Manager of Distribution at QBE reflected on the impact of the program:

“Our Equip program goes beyond development. It’s a launchpad for tomorrow’s insurance leaders. We’re proud to invest in their growth, helping them build confidence, capability and connections that will shape the future of our industry.”

“Our broker network is a vital part of our journey at QBE, and programs like Equip reflect our deep commitment to supporting and empowering our partners. By fostering strong relationships and shared learning, we’re building a more resilient and innovative insurance ecosystem together."

The program also featured sessions from renowned facilitator Sue Langley, whose expertise in neuroscience and emotional intelligence helped participants unlock their strengths and leadership potential.

With a strong focus on personal development and industry collaboration, Equip 2025 continues to be a cornerstone of QBE’s commitment to nurturing talent and driving excellence in insurance.
