QBE's graduate program recognised for impactful early career experiences

QBE graduates

QBE has been recognised as one of Australia’s top graduate employers, ranking fifth in the 2026 Top Graduate Employers Small Programs list by the Australian Association of Graduate Employers (AAGE).

The recognition reflects independent feedback from graduates during their first year at QBE and highlights our focus on creating supportive, development focused, and hands on early career pathways.

Graduates are immersed in real work from day one, gaining exposure to the business while being supported by colleagues across the organisation.

“I have really benefited from the breadth of opportunities available at QBE,” said Rhordan Stephens, Underwriting Graduate. “The teams I’ve worked with have supported my learning and development while making me feel at home right away. The work has been both challenging and rewarding, and I feel very fortunate to be part of the program.”

The quality of QBE’s graduate experience comes down to the collective effort of its people – from leaders and managers, to buddies, mentors and teams – who all play an active role in supporting, developing and engaging early career talent

.“Early career development is fundamental to how we build capability and strengthen our organisation for the future,” said Shiona Wastson, Chief People Officer at QBE Australia Pacific. “We’re proud to receive this recognition because it reflects the experience our graduates have at QBE, a journey shaped by strong support, meaningful work and ongoing development.”

The QBE Graduate Program is focused on connection and meaningful contribution, while supporting graduates to build the skills and confidence needed for their future careers.
