QBE senior leadership update

QBE Insurance Group Limited (QBE) today announced that Sue Houghton, Chief Executive Officer, Australia Pacific, has advised of her intention to retire from QBE at the end of 2026, following more than five years with the Group and a distinguished career spanning more than 35 years in the financial services industry.
Since joining QBE, Sue has played a significant role in strengthening the business, driving improvements in performance, capability, culture and customer outcomes. She has also led a substantial modernisation agenda and helped position the business for long-term success in a rapidly evolving market environment.
QBE Group Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Horton said, "Sue has made an outstanding contribution to QBE over the past five years. She has built a simpler, stronger business and delivered meaningful progress across a range of strategic priorities. Her leadership, judgement and commitment to customers, our people and our business have left a lasting impact on QBE.

To ensure an orderly transition and continuity of leadership, Sue will remain in role and continue to lead the business while QBE undertakes a search for her successor.
