New York, NY – QBE North America, an operating division of QBE Group, today announced that Matt Keeping has joined the organization as Regional Executive – Eastern Region.

In this role, Mr. Keeping will lead QBE's go-to-market activities as an integrated specialist insurer in the 20-state region consisting of AL, CT, DE, FL, GA, MA, MD, ME, MS, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, VT, and WV. He will oversee business planning and collaborate with Underwriting and Claims leadership to deliver better end-to-end risk management solutions through applied expertise and an experience of excellence for customers.

"As the Regional Executive, Matt represents the primary representative of the entire QBE enterprise in the Eastern Region, and we're very excited to have him come aboard and lead a team of talented professionals," said Mark Cantin, President, Field Operations at QBE North America. "Attracting someone of his high caliber underscores QBE's commitment to its national franchise with a regional structure that fosters a better understanding of customer needs to build the strongest partnerships with agents, brokers and clients. In fact, Matt brings a uniquely strong customer perspective because he served on our National Advisory Council in his most recent role as Head of Broking for Willis Towers Watson."

With 25 years in the insurance business, Mr. Keeping is a seasoned insurance executive with international experience and deep knowledge of the business. Prior to QBE and his role at Willis Towers Watson, he served in a variety of leadership roles in London and New York at Willis Group, which he joined in 2003. In the early part of his career, Matt spent five years living and working in Argentina with a predecessor company of Aon before returning to London, where he was responsible for Aon's Latin American property team. Matt received an accreditation in Business from The University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.

Mr. Keeping noted, “During my time on the broker side, I always respected QBE as one of only a handful of insurers that can truly deliver applied expertise across a variety of niche market segments with a clear customer focus supported by global strength. I am excited to join the team and apply my skills and experience on the broker side to help QBE's trading partners and clients achieve their ambitions."
