Richard Friesenhahn appointed as Head of Multinational for North America

New York, NY – QBE North America, an operating division of QBE Insurance Group, today announced an executive appointment to further support the company's expansion of multinational services and offerings.

Richard Friesenhahn has been appointed as Head of Multinational for North America. Based in New York, NY, Mr. Friesenhahn will report to Kathleen O. Zortman, President, Property & Casualty.

Mr. Friesenhahn has deep multinational leadership experience and an unyielding focus on performing with speed and efficiency. In his new role, he will leverage QBE's capabilities to grow and expand the company's multinational offering, further defining QBE as an integrated specialist insurer.

QBE's Multinational platform is a key differentiator in the market and will strengthen our ability to deliver specialized solutions for our customers," said Russ Johnston, Chief Executive Officer, QBE North America.

Ms. Zortman echoed Mr. Johnston's comments, and added, "Rich's leadership and strong collaborative underwriting approach will bring the best of what QBE's global presence has to offer through tailored products and services for our North American customers."

In his various leadership positions at AIG WorldSource, Mr. Friesenhahn was instrumental in driving the strong growth of their multinational business, while serving a wide array of corporate clients. With more than 38 years of industry experience with various AIG Affiliates, Mr. Friesenhahn most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Attune, focused on the small business segment.
