As a WYO carrier for the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), QBE offers flood coverage in all 50 states and the District of Columbia
Most homeowner and renter’s policies do not cover flood damage. Only flood insurance covers the cost of rebuilding after a flood. One of the most important steps home and business owners can take to recover faster and more fully after a disaster is to purchase flood insurance.
Flooding can happen anywhere at any time. Almost one-third of NFIP flood insurance claims come from outside of high-risk areas.
NFIP offers the following maximum limits for most flood insurance policies:
- Building Coverage:
• Residential buildings can be insured for up to $250,000.
• Non-residential buildings can be insured for up to $500,000. - Contents Coverage:
• For a residential policy, contents can be insured at up to $100,000.
• For a non-residential policy, contents can be insured at up to $500,000.
Residential Condominium Building Association Policy coverages are also available.
