Make sure you are safe & report to the police immediately.
It is also advisable to record the below:
- Particulars and nature of any bodily injury involved (if any)
- Vehicle registration numbers for all vehicles involved in the incident (if any)
- Contact details of all other parties involved (if any)
- Take photos of the damaged parts, collision point, and road condition
If the other party is at fault, you will have to lodge a complaint to the police within 10 days.
Customers with comprehensive cover may select a panel repairer ( windscreen only / non-windscreen ) that provides you with one-off claims & repair service. Alternatively, you may contact your own repairer (subject to your policy wording) and lodge a claim yourself.
Don't
- Do not make/receive any admission, offer, promise, payment, or indemnity with any party without the prior consent of QBE Hong Kong.
- Do not dispute liability with the third party.
- Do not move the vehicle unless the vehicle is at an unsafe place.
Choose a Motor Repairer
If you are a customer of our comprehensive cover, you can select one of our panel motor repairers ( windscreen only / non-windscreen ) that provides you one-off claims & repair service. Alternatively, you may find your own repairer (subject to your policy wording) and lodge a claim with a few steps.
Documents to prepare
The following documents will be required to process a claim. If you have chosen our panel repairer, the repairer will assist you in submitting the required documents to us.
Damage of Windscreen
- Photos of the damaged glasses before repair is conducted
- Photos of the repaired/replaced glasses after repair is conducted
- Motor Vehicle Licence
- Invoice / Receipt
Motor Accident/Damage
- Letter of Authorization duly signed by the driver
- Driver’s Hong Kong Identity Card
- Driver's driving licence
- Vehicle Registration Document (Both sides)
- Motor Vehicle Licence
- Police statement
- Screening breath test result form, if any
- Photos showing the accident scene and involved vehicles, if available
- Car camera record, if any
- Repair quotation, if available
- Any third party correspondences
Theft/Attempted Theft
- Letter of Authorization duly signed by the person who reported to the police
- Vehicle Registration Document (Both sides)
- Motor Vehicle Licence
- Police statement
