Damaged or stolen property?

  • Prevent further loss or damage and ensure the safety of you and those around you.
  • Notify your landlord.
  • Inform the police if something was stolen or vandalized, or if required by law.
  • Report the incident as soon as possible by:
    • Contacting your agent; or
    • Calling QBE at 844-723-2524 (844-QBE-CLAIMS) and selecting option #2 to report a new claim and then selecting option #2 for property claims.

Guest injured in your home? Responsible for damage to another property?

  • Report the incident as soon as possible by:
    • Contacting your agent; or
    • Calling QBE at 844-723-2524 (844-QBE-CLAIMS) and selecting option #2 to report a new claim and then selecting option #4 for liability claims.

Landlords reporting damages a QBE insured may be liable for

  • Report the incident as soon as possible by:
    • Calling QBE at 844-723-2524 (844-QBE-CLAIMS) and selecting option #2 to report a new claim and then selecting option #4 for liability claims; or
    • Completing and submitting the Renters Liability Report Form.

The following information will assist in your claims reporting process.

  • Your QBE policy number - it is best to have your policy number available when you call QBE directly
  • Details of the incident, including any damage or loss to the building and contents

Loss Mitigation

It is your responsibility to take any immediate actions needed to prevent further loss or damage, and ensure the safety of you and those around you. Keep receipts for any expenditures as these costs may be covered under your policy.
