Every claim is different. While some claims naturally require a more detailed review, others are lower in complexity and may not need the same level of assessment.

That’s where our new Express Claims solution can help. Designed for low-complexity property claims, it allows brokers and customers to submit all documentation upfront – enabling a faster assessment and aiming to settle the claim within 48 hours.

“We’re always exploring new ways to simplify the claims process for our brokers and customers,” said Nigel Hawtin, General Manager of Property and Liability, Australia Pacific Claims.

“Express Claims reduces the friction for those less complex property claims – saving time for our brokers and getting our customers back on their feet sooner.”

What type of claims can be submitted via the Express Claims solution?

Brokers and customers can now submit low-complexity property claims under the value of $10,000 via our new Express Claims solution. The following claim types are eligible:

  • Accidental loss and damage
  • Glass breakage
  • Food spoilage
  • Impact collision
  • Vandalism malicious damage
  • Fusion (electrical burn-out damage)
  • Storm and lightning damage

How do I lodge an Express Claim request?

  1. Email [email protected] with the full details of the claim, as outlined below.
  2. Our fast-track property claims team will review the request.
  3. Claim values of $10,000 and under are accepted. If your claim value is under $1,000, you will only need to provide a completed claim submission and quote for repair/replacement, or a paid invoice for reimbursement.
  4. If the claim submission is incomplete or supporting documents are missing, the claim will be diverted to our standard lodgment team.
  5. If the claim meets the requirements, we’ll proceed to payment within 48 hours.
  6. If you have questions, contact your QBE Relationship Manager directly.

Please note, quotes and invoices will be settled under the fair and reasonable industry cost, subject to policy limits.
