QBE celebrates 20 years of Perth Glory support

QBE Insurance Australia will celebrate a milestone 20 years of partnership with Perth Glory during this weekend’s Round 20 match at nib stadium.

Perth Glory will play Brisbane Roar in Perth on Saturday 20 February, wearing a specially designed QBE jersey to mark 20 years of commitment between the club and QBE. The cyan jersey features a ’20 year’ print coupled with horizontal purple stripes.

QBE Australia CEO Tim Plant said: “QBE is immensely proud of our 20 year partnership with Perth Glory.

“We value our sponsorship as a long term commitment, which means being there for the triumphs and the challenges.

“We are honoured to support Perth’s sporting and wider community through our two decade sponsorship of the team”.

Perth Glory FC CEO Peter Filopoulos said the commitment shown by QBE to the club and code was second to none.

“We are proud to have such an esteemed partner as our front of shirt sponsor,” he said.

“QBE’s 20-year sponsorship of Perth Glory is admired throughout the Australian football community and has created a strong brand connection and association between the two organisations.

“The partnership has continually evolved along the journey from our early days in the National Soccer League through to our entry in the new Hyundai A-League and we look forward to our continued association,” he added.

Perth Glory returns to nib Stadium this Saturday night after a successful double-header on the road which resulted in a vital 1-0 win over Wellington Phoenix and a 2-1 victory against Sydney FC.

Celebrations to mark the 20th anniversary of QBE’s sponsorship include a radio competition on Mix 94.5 to give away 100 tickets, more than $2500 worth of merchandise up for grabs on the day and a half time goal shootout for fans to win prizes.
