QBE launches RFP for restoration services
QBE Insurance Australia today announced the launch of a request for proposal (RFP) for the provision of insurance restoration services across its personal and commercial lines.
The move follows last year’s RFPs for the provision of building repair services and end to end heavy vehicle repair, as the insurer continues a broader strategic review of its property and motor claims divisions.
QBE Chief Claims Officer, Jon Fox, said the insurer is seeking out strategic partnerships with businesses who will enable QBE to deliver the highest level of service to its customers during their time of need.
“The claims experience is one of the most important touchpoints we have with our customers. It’s the moment they need us the most, and its critical that we are supported by businesses that share our customer-first ambition and make their journey back to recovery as seamless as possible.
“Customer expectations are evolving faster than ever and we’re now being compared to the customer experiences they have in all areas of their life, not just insurance. We recognise that quality of insurance and speed of service are what they’re demanding, and we’re seeking partners who can help us meet both these expectations simultaneously,” said Mr Fox.
“We’re looking to curate a restoration services network with businesses who share our commitment to exceptional customer service and help us meet our customer promise.”
“A comprehensive tender process will help us choose the best restoration services network, based on their ability to provide high-quality, cost-effective restorations to private and commercial properties, and their capacity to support QBE’s distribution partners across all areas of Australia,” continued Mr Fox.
QBE is calling for restorers to register their interest from 1 – 15 April 2019. Suppliers will then be shortlisted and invited to complete the RFP, with submissions closing on 27 May 2019, and the new panel expected to be in place by 31 July 2019.
