QBE New Zealand recognised as Intermediated Insurance Company of the Year

QBE New Zealand (QBE) has been recognised as the Intermediated Insurance Company of the Year at the 2018 New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards.

The prestigious award was presented at the annual award ceremony, hosted by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF), at the SKYCITY Convention Centre last night.

The Intermediated Insurance Company of the Year Award recognises companies who have demonstrated strong performance and outstanding service for their customers in New Zealand.

QBE New Zealand General Manager Bill Donovan said he was extremely proud to have received such an accolade among such a strong field of finalists.

“It’s been a challenging couple of years for our industry as we learn to adapt to ever-increasing customer expectations, rapidly evolving technology and an increasingly complex regulatory environment,” Mr Donovan said.

“So it’s particularly pleasing for QBE’s efforts in responding to and adapting to those challenges to be recognised by one of the industry’s peak bodies.

“Awards like this are testament to the hard work and effort put in by the teams across our business, so I would like to thank and congratulate our people at QBE for the commitment and enthusiasm with which they approach their work every day.

“Thanks and credit must also go to our broker partners for their ongoing commitment, hard work and loyalty, without which we would not be able to achieve great customer outcomes.”

In its submission QBE was required to give details on a range of criteria including customer service satisfaction ratings, claims process, financial results, offerings for ongoing staff education and learning, and work in the community.
