QBE recognised at icare Care and Service Excellence awards
QBE is delighted to have been successful in three categories at the second annual Care and Service Excellence (CASE) awards, held by icare in NSW.
Created to set a best practice benchmark for the workers compensation industry, the awards recognise and encourage outstanding performance and innovation by scheme agents and brokers in NSW.
QBE was successful in three categories, including outstanding contribution by an individual, awarded to Sam Bashford for his strong focus on continuous improvement, risk identification and mitigation as well as his contribution to the wider business and industry through mentorship.
The excellence and innovation in injury management award went to David Huxley and the QBE Lismore Branch for the establishment of the North Coast Safety Network, an incorporated association of employers, health and safety professionals and workers compensation insurance stakeholders. The partnership aims to educate and promote best practice in safety for northern NSW businesses.
Mark Rooney and Peter McCabe were awarded for services to icare workers’ insurance, for demonstrating their commitment to raising awareness and influencing others in transforming injury services and support, resulting in improved outcomes for all stakeholders.
QBE General Manager Workers’ Compensation, Andrew Borden, said the award wins were a great opportunity for QBE to share the outstanding work being done in the business.
