Hundreds of fan messages to feature on Swans banner as part of QBE campaign

For the first time, Sydney Swans fans will have their personal messages to the team displayed on the banner the players run through at the start of a game as part of long term partner QBE’s Fabric of the Swans campaign.

More than 200 personal messages from Swans fans to the players will feature on the back of the official banner the players will run through to kick off the Round 8 Sydney Swans versus Essendon match on Friday May 10, 2019.

QBE invited fans to write messages of support on the QBE Fan Wall during the Swans Fan Day in Sydney earlier this year.

Hundreds of messages were written by Swans fans of all ages showing their support of the club and the players. These messages will now be delivered directly to players who will run through the banner they’re printed on as they take to the field on Friday.

QBE’s Fabric of the Swans campaign, launched earlier this year at the Sydney Swans Fan Day, celebrates everyone who makes up the wider Swans community, from the players to the fans, volunteers and Academy participants.

The players will be running through the banner at approximately 7.30pm on Friday May 10.
