- We’ll give you a quote
- Once you’ve accepted our quote we’ll issue the policy

Switch to QBE
- Inform your client’s current insurer they wish to lapse their policy before it expires, otherwise they’ll be legally obliged to renew it
- Complete an online quotation via c.change
- If you’re unable to use c.change, complete a QBE Insurance Proposal and email it to workerscompunderwriting@qbe.com
Certificate of currency
Once the policy is issued we’ll issue a certificate of currency. For a copy of a previously issued certificate download it from c.change or email workerscompunderwriting@qbe.com.
Making a claim
To make a claim, your client needs to carry out the following steps:
- Report notifiable injuries to WorkSafe Tasmania as soon as possible
- Tell us about the injury by completing a First Contact Form or contacting their local branch within three business days
- Provide the injured worker with a Notice of Right to Make a Workers Compensation Claim form within 14 days
- Give the worker a Workers Claim Form to complete and return with an appropriate medical certificate
- Send the worker’s completed claim form and medical certificate to us within five business days of receipt. A case manager will assess the claim and come back with a liability decision
