QBE launches RFP for motor repairers

QBE Insurance Australia today announced it would launch a request for proposal (RFP) for the provision of end to end smash repair solutions across its motor repairer network in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra metro areas.

The move comes as the insurer undertakes a strategic review of its associate smash repairer (ASR) network, following a broader strategic review of its motor claims division.
QBE Executive General Manager – Claims, Jon Fox, said they would look to partner with businesses who are committed to delivering the highest level of service for their customers.

"With technology constantly evolving and ever-increasing customer expectations, QBE is seeking a sustainable and innovative repair supply chain that we know can deliver outstanding customer experiences," Mr Fox said.

"Our network of repairers are a pivotal part of this promise, so the chosen repairers will share our commitment to exceptional customer service and high-quality, cost-effective repairs.

"We’ll choose the most suitable network of smash repairers as part of a comprehensive tender process on the basis of their ability to provide repairs to passenger vehicles and light commercials, and their capacity to support all QBE’s distribution partners in all areas of Australia."

QBE is calling for repairers to register their interest from 3 – 15 May 2017. The RFP submissions will close 31 May, with the new panel expected to be in place by 1 September 2017.
