At QBE, our approach includes a focus on building a strong female talent pipeline and increasing our female leadership representation, normalising caring and flexibility as business as usual and a commitment to supporting our people impacted by family and domestic violence.

Building female talent in our business

Lead In is QBE’s female talent flagship program which has the objective of accelerating the leadership capability of high performing women. Lead In focusses on a strengths based approach, building on growth areas to sustain future performance and support career progression.

QBE has also participated in the Chief Executive Women Leaders Program since 2012.

Family friendly workplaces

In 2021, QBE joined UNICEF Australia, Parents At Work, and our fellow founding partners to launch the National Work + Family Standards.

The standards provide employers with best practice and minimum ways to build family-friendly workplace cultures and excitingly, we’re one of the first to be certified in line with them.

Workplace Gender Equality Agency

We are compliant with the Australian Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 for all our relevant reporting entities for the 2021-22 reporting period. We have submitted our 2022-23 Report to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (PDF).

Share the Care – our gender-neutral, flexible paid parental leave policy
