Why choose QBE’s graduate program?
#5 Top Graduate Employer for small programs in Australia
At QBE, we’re proud that our graduate program is ranked among Australia’s top ten small-sized programs on the AAGE Top Graduate Employers list. What makes this recognition truly special is that it’s based entirely on feedback from our own graduates – people who’ve experienced the program firsthand. It’s a reflection of the supportive, challenging, and rewarding journey we offer to help you grow your career from day one.
Our graduate program structure
18 months | 3 different teams | 6-month rotations
Graduates are hired as permanent employees, with the first 18 months spent on the graduate program experiencing three different teams across our business.
Our 2027 graduate capability areas include:
Insurance Underwriting
In Underwriting, you’ll learn how risks are assessed and policies are priced, while building technical foundations in governance and portfolio performance.
Business – Small to Medium Enterprises
Our Small & Medium Business stream will help you understand how businesses are protected and supported. You’ll build foundations in risk, underwriting and pricing while exploring operations, strategy and sustainable growth.
Claims
In Claims, you’ll see how we support customers with their claims. You will build practical problem-solving skills and explore commercial claims, operations, data, strategy and digital transformation.
Consumer
Our Consumer stream puts you close to the customer experience. You’ll work with teams focused on growth, service delivery and digital innovation, helping to shape simpler, smarter experiences for customers.
Risk
In the Risk stream, you’ll explore how risk frameworks, compliance and governance help QBE operate responsibly and sustainably.
